A model after-dinner speech
The tradition of the after-dinner speech began in Great Britain centuries ago and, to this day, London remains the world capital for post-prandial eloquence. The annual banquet of the London Metal Exchange is a typical traditional English event, a posh bash held each year at the Dorchester Hotel where hundreds of high rollers from the City of London drink, dine and listen to a featured speaker ... in that order.
