A model motivational speech to minority students
In this issue, we’ll examine a speech that I’d characterize as a “diamond in the rough”—powerful, moving and with a strong message, but more spontaneous than polished, strong overall rather than perfect in its every detail. As you read it, you will probably get the feeling, as I did, that the speaker had rough notes or an outline but was delivering most of his speech off the cuff—and from the heart.
