American Speaker’s 2005 Patrick Awards Recognizing the year’s best — and worst — public speaking achievements
Drawing on nearly 40 years of speechwriting experience including White House service with three U.S. presidents and his own extensive public speaking and broadcasting experience, American Speaker Editor in Chief Aram Bakshian Jr. has selected the first 12 recipients of the Patrick Awards. Named in honor of Patrick Henry, the founding father of American orators, the Patrick Awards spotlight the best and the worst speakers of the year, with citations explaining how and why each recipient qualified for the oratorical honor ... or the oratorical Bronx cheer!
