This issue’s Speech Analysis offers a prime example of using humor to make a serious point — in this case, a serious point about humor itself. Humorist and business communication expert Dan Danbom traveled to Canada to address a group of business communicators; his mission was both to inform and to entertain his listeners. I think you’ll agree that he delivered admirably on both counts.
