Dear Reader:
As a writer—and a voracious reader—I’m always on the lookout for quotes from famous sources that encapsulate useful thoughts and ideas on our shared interest in public speaking. Recently, I came across two quotes that have something particularly useful to tell us. Their authors were separated by 1,500 years and approach their subject from different angles, but both tell us something useful about the art of speaking.
