CRAFT A WINNING NOMINATING SPEECH: Link, focus and make the sale
Now that we’ve entered another presidential election year, the nominating speeches are coming in fast and thick. While the nominating speeches that were once a crucial part of the Republican and Democratic national conventions are now largely pro forma, the nominating speech still plays an important speaking role closer to home. It is a focal point of events and activities as varied as annual company meetings, professional society proceedings, union gatherings, local politics, student government, and the whole gamut of civic and social activities.
